“In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place.” ― Mahatma Gandhi.

Religion has no place in Governance in a Democracy, unless it is a Democracy where "All People are Equal but Some People are More Equal than Others".

When the law was made in 1950 then it was clearly mentioned in the Indian Constitution how citizenship will be given to anyone who was born here. Anyone who has lived here for 11 years will get citizenship whether Hindu, Sikh, Christian or Muslim."

What is Sad is in a War no side will agree it is at fault. All this violence and bloodshed in the name of God and Religion and we are all victims as we are born into one religion or the other for no fault of ours. Religious Conflict is the main reason why the world is in such mess in 2020 ? Chaaha Hai Kya ? Paaya Hai Kya? Just pain and misery. Sad world we live in. Can Gods not take the responsibility and resolve this feud between themselves. Australian Fires brought the people together CAA fires have divided the Nation on religious grounds. Sad but True.

TPCC President & Nalgonda MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the silence of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), NRC and NPR in Telangana State was puzzling and sending wrong signals.

Therefore, he said that people, especially the minorities, should vote en masse against TRS in municipal elections to ensure that KCR take a firm stand against the controversial CAA and NRC by passing a resolution in Telangana Assembly saying they would not be implemented in Telangana State.

Addressing a series of meetings in Huzurnagar on Saturday as part of municipal elections campaign, Uttam Kumar Reddy said despite repeated reminders from Telangana Congress Party, why KCR was hesitating to call for special session of assembly to pass a resolution against CAA. “In addition to the Congress Chief Ministers, CMs of many non-BJP States have openly announced that CAA and NRC will not be implemented in their States. Kerala and Punjab Assemblies have also passed categorical resolutions rejecting both CAA and NRC.

He said Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who supported the CAB in Parliament have announced that they would not implement the Act in their States. But TRS, which voted against the CAB in Parliament, was hesitating to take a firm stand by passing a resolution in Assembly against the CAA and NRC.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said KCR would be forced to pass a resolution in Telangana Assembly against CAA only if TRS tastes a humiliating defeat in municipal elections. He said KCR has been maintaining a stoic and questionable silence on the issue. “If KCR is really against CAA and NRC then he must have announced that they will not be implemented in Telangana.

Since TRS is having a secret alliance with the BJP, KCR is hesitating to speak against Prime Minister Narender Modi. If TRS wins municipal polls, then KCR will never pass an Assembly resolution against CAA. People of Telangana, especially minorities, should keep this in mind while voting for municipal elections on January 22,” he said.

The TPCC President also asked MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi as to why he was not reminding his ally KCR about passing a resolution against CAA in Telangana Assembly. “Owaisi took a big delegation of religious leaders to Pragati Bhavan on December 24, 2019 and later addressed the media stating that KCR would make a big announcement within two days.

This was done to divert people’s attention from massive protests against CAA which were being held by Congress and other organisations. Why Owaisi is not questioning KCR’s silence even after 25 days? People should understand the nexus between TRS, BJP and MIM and vote against them if they oppose CAA and NRC in Telangana State,” he appealed.

He also ridiculed TRS Working President K. Tarakarama Rao’s statement saying that MIM and TRS were not allies. “Everyone in Telangana knows the reality that KCR is a ‘Modi Bhakt’ and TRS is having a secret alliance with BJP and open alliance with MIM,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also slammed KCR for completely neglecting the Madiga community in Telangana. “It is highly regrettable that the biggest community in Telangana, i.e., Madigas, has no representation in State Cabinet,” he said while accusing TRS of suppressing the community socially, politically and economically.

He reminded that MRPS chief Manda Krisha Madiga was repeatedly jailed and humiliated on multiple occasions by KCR. He was not even allowed to stage protest at his residence and arrested multiple times on flimsy grounds.

The TPCC chief said that the discrimination and injustice with Madiga community would continue if TRS wins municipal polls. Therefore, he said Madigas should realise their political might and vote against TRS if they want to end the saga of injustice going on for the last six years.
